Internal Audit for EMAS Certified House of Europe

Developed by the European Commission, EMAS stands for eco-management and audit scheme; it is a voluntary environmental management tool for organisations to evaluate, report and improve their environmental performance. On an annual basis, Adi Associates’ certified internal auditors undertake the Internal Audit for the House of Europe in Valletta.  The House includes the offices of both the European Commission and the European Parliament in Malta.  The aim of such an audit is to systematically and objectively evaluate the organisation’s environmental performance, management system, and processes designed to protect the environment.

Our mission, as IRCA certified auditors is to work with our clients to identify areas for improvement and risks, with the aim of detecting and reducing existing or potential risks to the organisation, and to make better decisions based on the conclusions offered by the auditor in the internal audit report. The internal audit includes a detailed site visit in line with the agreed audit plan, assistance and advice in the preparation for the internal audit, including comments on procedure, helping to identify documents needed for the audit, preparing those concerned by the audit, and supplying explanations and information in addition to the reports provided.
