Andrea Pace

PLANNING CONSULTANT

 Andrea Pace is a geographer with experience in geographic information systems, land use surveys, traffic data collection and transport studies. He started working with Adi Associates in the fields of planning and transport as a freelance consultant in 2009. In 2012 he joined Adi Associates as a full-time employee. Andrea is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society (FRGS) and a Chartered Geographer. 

Andrea leads the company’s GIS team, providing core mapping and analysis services. He`s also contributes to Project Description Statements, Transport Impact Assessments, AADT estimations, and more. He collaborates with NGOs and universities. He’s also trained in environmental noise measurement and occupational noise/vibration. 

Since joining Adi Associates, Andrea has been involved in a wide range of regional projects, including the Bengħisa Area Action Plan, a Sustainable Locality Action Plan for the Għajnsielem Local Council, a Master Plan for a Sustainable Diving Plan (Malta),a survey of the Victoria Lines to assess the wall’s condition and the state of the immediate surroundings, a restoration plan, a master plan and a vision for Chadwick Lakes, and the Valley Catchments Management Plans for Malta & Gozo. He was also part of international projects teams working on Natura 2000 site management plans, the National Risk Assessment for Malta, and a Mediterranean island wetlands inventory. 

For his Masters degree, Andrea researched the relationship over time between social indicators in the education and health fields and urban development densities. He lectures modules on basic skills in cartography, EIA and GIS skills at the University of Malta. He is currently conducting doctoral research in urban growth modelling at the Department of Geography of the University of Malta. 

Andrea has a passion for archaeology, history, and cultural heritage.
