IPPC permit for DDE Attard Ltd approved by ERA
The Environment and Resources Authority (ERA) recently approved the Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control (IPPC) permit for DDE Attard Ltd, a waste management facility in Luqa.
Adi Associates was responsible for preparing the IPPC application and coordinating the entire permitting process for DDE Attard Ltd. This included carrying out land contamination testing, noise studies, an environmental risk assessment, and an assessment of the proposed operations against best practices in the waste management sector.
The IPPC permit will authorise DDE Attard Ltd to accept and process various waste streams, including end-of-life vehicles, certain types of electronics, metal waste, and wood. The permit is valid for four years, and is renewable.
