Adi prepares Bathing Water Profiles
Adi Associates has recently prepared, on behalf of the Environmental Health Directorate, detailed bathing water profiles covering all the bathing areas of the Maltese Islands. A total of 29 bathing water profiles were prepared in accordance with the requirements of Legal Notice 125 of 2008 and of the Commission’s Bathing Water Profiles: Best Guidance and Practice, December 2009. These covered topics such as bathing water quality classification history, pollution sources and mitigation measures, amongst others.
In addition to the detailed bathing water profiles, non-technical reports were also prepared, summarizing the salient points included within the bathing water profiles. These non-technical reports will be affixed in prominent spots at the bathing water areas at the beginning of the next bathing season.
The profiles are publicly available on the Environmental Health Directorate website.
