Natura 2000 team present project during Green Infranet event

The Għajnsielem Local Council is one of 12 European project partners participating in the Interreg IVC project called  (visit www.greeninfranet.org for more information). The Local Council hosted a dissemination event on the 25th April 2013 about green infrastructure on Gozo.  The Natura 2000 project team was invited to present its project to the delegates that included representatives from 10 European countries working in the field of environment and land use planning, as well as national and local stakeholders.

The project was well received and allowed local and European participants alike to raise issues of importance for the management planning process including issues related to funding and public participation.  Gozitan stakeholders were informed that an extensive stakeholder consultation event will be held on Gozo in July.  This consultation event will be followed by additional events as necessary or requested by stakeholders.  Details of the events will be uploaded on this page once these are finalised.
