7 Habits of Highly Effective People
During the last week of February, all staff at Adi Associates participated in a three-day course on the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. The course is based on a best-selling business book written by Stephen R. Covey that gives participants hands-on experience, applying principles that yield greater productivity, improved communication, strengthened relationships, increased influence, and focus on critical priorities. During the programme we learnt how to: take initiatives, balance key priorities, improve interpersonal communication, leverage creative collaboration, and apply principles for achieving a balanced life.
The course was led by Mr Jimmy Naudi and featured a mix of audio-visual presentations, group and one-to-one discussions, and the odd mid-afternoon exercise to re-energise ourselves. Following the conclusions of the course, each member of staff has now embarked on a seven-week journey to relive each of the 7 Habits.
Participation in this course was made possible through the Training Aid Framework (TAF), administered by the Employment & Training Corporation (ETC). Through the TAF, the ETC provides financial assistance to those companies that invest in training their workforce. The TAF is co-financed by the European Social Fund (Operational Programme II – Cohesion Policy 2007 – 2013), the Maltese Government and the Employer.
