EIA for a fuel filling facility for Road Tankers

EIA for the Rehabilitation of the Fisheries Port in Berbera, Somaliland concluded

Adi Associates has recently finalised the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for the rehabilitation of the fisheries port in Berbera, Somaliland. The project, which commenced in January 2015, included a topographic survey of the port area and its surroundings, noise surveys, a bathymetric survey of the fishing port’s basin, a geotechnical survey, chemical analysis of seabed sediments, a sub-bottom profile survey, and stakeholder consultations. Camel Brand factory relocation approved

The MEPA Board recently approved the relocation of the Camel Brand factory from its current location in a residential area in Haz-Zebbug to Tal-Handaq. Camel Brand is a local company specialising in typical Maltese and Mediterranean delicacies, including ħelwa tat-tork, bigilla and sun-dried tomatoes. This relocation will enable the company to improve its operations and also allow for future potential expansion. Read more..

Preparation of Natura 2000 Management Plans comes to an end

Over the past few weeks, Adi Associates Environmental Consultants Ltd together with international firm Epsilon International SA concluded the preparation of Management Plans for the terrestrial Natura 2000 sites for the Maltese Islands on behalf of MEPA.  The preparation of the plans involved a number of surveys and data gathering exercises.  This data was evaluated  and used to produce conservation objectives for each site. Adi prepares Bathing Water Profiles

Adi Associates has recently prepared, on behalf of the Environmental Health Directorate, detailed bathing water profiles covering all the bathing areas of the Maltese Islands. A total of 29 bathing water profiles were prepared in accordance with the requirements of Legal Notice 125 of 2008 and of the Commission’s Bathing Water Profiles: Best Guidance and Practice, December 2009.
